Our FAQs

Below you’ll find all your questions answered. If there’s anything you’re still not sure of, click the yellow box on the bottom right and chat with us.

General

Face Masks

You MUST bring a Face Mask and wear it at all times, including when entering or exiting the event area, EXCEPT for when you are  in your designated ‘pitch’, which will be at a safe distance from other audience members.

Any time you leave your pitch (e.g. for the bar or toilet) masks must be worn. Face Masks are NOT required at any point during a fitness class.

Hand Sanitiser

Hand Sanitiser will be provided and you MUST sanitise your hands upon entry.

Experiencing any Covid-19 symptons?

If you or a member of your household has had any Covid-19 symptoms in the 14-day lead up to your event, please do not attend. Contact [email protected] who will arrange a deferral/refund of your ticket.

You may also be asked if you have displayed any symptoms upon arrival or at any point while you are at the event. If the answer is yes, or if you are visibly displaying symptoms, you may be asked to isolate within, or leave, the event area.

What are the seating arrangements?

The event is all outdoors in the Walled Gardens of Chiswick House and Gardens.

Upon entry, you will be escorted to your “pitch” which will be a marked out area on the grass. So you are going to need to bring something to sit on.

There will be a one-way system in place to follow.

Each pitch is yours, and you can bring a blanket or picnic blanket to put on the grass as you see fit.

You can also bring camping chairs, foldaway seats or back rests but please be aware you will be allocated a pitch on the sides or the back so as to avoid restricting the views from those sat behind you.

Toilets

Toilets will be available at the event, but if at all possible, try to go at home before/after the event.

If you do use ours, please follow the steward’s instructions on sanitisation.

All our toilets will be sanitised using products to protect you and others.

Bar

We will be sending out emails prior to the event date for you to pre-order drinks for collection on the night.

We will also be taking “interval” drinks via Pre-Orders for speed on the night and to minimise queuing at the bar.

For orders on the night, you may go to the bar and order drinks directly, though we ask that only one person from your group goes up, and when they do, keep a safe distance away from other people at the bar or in the queue. Please remember to wear masks at all times when not seated in your designated pitch.

Are there Medical Staff?

Medical Staff are present at all events. If you become unwell at one of our events please contact your nearest Steward.

Can I smoke?

If you wish to smoke, including e-cigarettes, you need to leave the area and will be readmitted afterwards.

In areas that smoking is permitted, please be courteous to other audience members.

Cash / Card Payments on the night

We request all payments to be made via Card / Contactless. But, do bring cash in case of any mobile outages and the machines don’t work!

We will have card machines in use operated by Peregrine Pace and Gym Jam for our Bar and Catering.

Can I bring food, or get food on the night?

We will have snacks such as crisps on-site on offer for pre-order from our bar.

There is no catering on site. Though we have partnered with Our High Road (https://www.ourhighroad.com/) where you can pre-order food which will be prepared by any of the local shops listed on their website, and ready for you to collect on arrival at the event.

You can also bring your own food on the night, but no alcohol.

Can I bring drinks?
You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol on the night; this is due to the licensing. But we do have a bar and you can pre-order drinks and order extra drinks on the night.

You can bring your own bottles of water or soft drinks.

Glass is not permitted onsite – please ensure all drinks are in plastic/cans and consumed from plastic drinkware.

No alcohol may be brought in to the event area. Bags may be checked and alcoholic drinks confiscated.

Any drinks purchased on site must be consumed within the event site.

Are children allowed?

Yes they are!

Though due to Covid safety, we must insist that children (under 16s) are kept under control and not causing a nuisance or risk of transmission to other audience members. If this does happen, the group they belong to will be asked to leave the seating area, and may be asked to leave the event site if the problem persists or is severe.

We also advise parental discretion – some performances may not be suitable for under 16s so it is up to the parents/guardians, who must accompany them, whether or not they should be watching. The comedy shows, Bogan Bingo and some film screenings are likely to contain bad language and other adult content.

Parking and travel to the site

We recommend walking to the area, as the majority of our attendees are local.

If you are coming from afar or cannot walk, the best public transport options are generally to Chiswick High Road, which is a 5-8min walk away via Dukes Avenue and the underpass. Chiswick mainline station is also 5-8mins in the other direction, via Park Road and the A4.

There is parking onsite for around 50 cars, in the main car park of Chiswick House Grounds. Please check signage for pay and display costs & times.

The best place to aim for using sat nav or Google maps is the Will to Win Tennis Centre (in Chiswick!) – the entrance to the event is a few yards away from their gates.

Weather

What if it rains? Or is bad weather?

In the event of bad weather, the event will go ahead.

If it’s merely the Great British Summer that’s dampening spirits (plus the ground and all of us), we will do everything we can to make everyone comfortable, including providing free ponchos and pausing a performance if it’s heavy, though we cannot refund tickets on the grounds of wet weather.

Do check the forecast and bring appropriate gear!

Chillier nights

Please note that it can turn chilly in the evenings, so please make sure you bring suitable clothing.

We will also sell blankets so you can cover yourselves in case you do get cold, however, these will be limited.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas may be brought with you but please do not open them during a performance as it will affect the view of those behind you.

During breaks/intervals or moving around the event area they may be opened.
